Tuning AG Lancia Delta

Tuning AG Lancia Delta

After returning from the 'Ring test, I was ready to put away my helmet and get caught up on some reviews. After all, I have a little more than 20 completed and not posted, not even counting what Slacker is doing. So, after fixing the Navigation, I turned on the box to get a little DLC and check my messages...

"You have a gift" - JeffKill

hmm... ok. I haven't read any announcements, but that really doesn't mean much, because I haven't been online. So I was interested, mainly because I hold several PB's with cars tuned by Jeff. I wondered what this was all about.

An A-Class Lancia Delta that is tuned for high speed, the latest offering from AG hauls! The first thing I noticed was that this car allowed me to pitch it into corners with a quick stab of the brakes. That usually indicates that the car likes to be driven hard, and this one is no exception.

With the grip/understeer, flick/oversteer, this car has outstanding balance. I set a time about 4 full seconds off the test driver's Road America time, so I decided to take the car to its home track, Motegi. Here, the car shined. I started the day in a dismal 3148th spot on the leaderboards, so I knew I would positively improve my time.

The first lap saw a 1:57.301, and I smoked my ghost so badly I quit out to see where that landed on the Leaderboards.

328th place. On the first lap.

At the start of the 2nd lap of the second session, I blasted across the start line with a purpose. Use the brakes to set the nose, drive hard out of the curves... Man, this car flies. The stopwatch told the story, a 1:56.683 on the second lap, with mistakes.

The bottom line is that I went from 3,148 on the scoreboards to 177th after three laps... again, with mistakes. This is a great car, with great feel, especially around Motegi. The brakes are outstanding and slow this car down forcefully in less distance than your usual brake markers. Tuning AG has another winner on their hands!

If you are as bad at Motegi as I am, you owe it to yourself to pick this car up! Post your interest in the for sale thread.
