BravoXXX TVR Sagaris

BravoXXX's TVR Sagaris

Thanks for hanging in there everyone, the testing is coming along nicely. The first car I've had the chance to officially review is BravoXXX's TVR Sagaris Standard Edition. When the spec-sheet crossed my desk, it definitely caught my attention.

Can the TVR compete with the S - Class dominators? Read on...

The first thing you notice about the TVR is the clean paint scheme. Finished in silver metallic, with red and orange highlights, the livery makes a statement. It looks fast, and when the lights go green, it doesn't disappoint.

As I left the line, I thought to myself that this was going to be another rear wheel drive S-Class handful, screeching and spinning it's way around the track. I was pleasantly surprised when I managed a warm up lap without a spin! 5 laps later I still hadn't spun out, so I went to check the lap times.

Top 2000, check, about what I figured. I'm no hired gun in any class, but the S-Class cars are too fast for me to enjoy. Or so I thought...

I decided to take the TVR to a track I know very well, Road Atlanta. On the second lap, I ran down and passed my previous best ghost, so I immediately quit out and went to check the scoreboards. 53.428. Top 1000* time, still no spin. I was running out of time, so I had to make a choice. I discovered that the TVR liked the short track at Atlanta, but I was unable to better my previous best there. I could stay and make some more laps, or I could head to another track and finish the testing. We loaded up the hauler and went to Suzuka.

At Suzuka East, the Sagaris was really in its element. It ran smoothly and shifted perfectly on every lap, storming through the sweepers with barely a wimper from the tires. The stopwatch told the story, 47.430, top 300* on the track scoreboard.

BravoXXX has taken the time to build a TVR for the masses. It allows the average racer to drive something different from the Saleens and Porsches that fill the grid, and it does it with speed and style. In other words, the TVR Sagaris finally runs as good as it looks.

* top 1000 and top 300 times were posted before completion of this article, the times are currently 1145 and 336, respectively.

This is simply the best TVR I have ever driven, but I believe it is sold out. This car was released prior to Bravo's switch to SW2, so it very well may not be available. Post your interest in the for sale thread.
