EXI Flying Lizard Porsche 997 RS
EXI Flying Lizard Porsche 997 RS

The Flying Lizard Porsche during rare dual-reviewer testing.
Part One, DJSlackerjr
With most of the Porsche cars I own being AWD or AWD Powertrain swap I was looking forward to trying one with a RWD chassis. The paint on this has been done by timbo1977 and what a great job on the Flying Lizard Porsche car. One my favorite things about this car is the paint and of course the sound of the engine.
I put this car to a test a few days ago to get an impression and I had a
hard time with it at first. So iNFERNO and I hit the tracks, iNFERNO having
already looked at the car a bit and my first time not going so well with it.
I have to say that when I got back into the car the seat felt much better
and the engine was just dying to show me what it could do. My first lap back behind the wheel and the car was already gripping better. I was able to keep iNFERNO in my sites. I slid off a little trying to catch up to him, pushing way to hard. Then on the 2nd lap something happened, I stopped worring about what he was doing and started listening to the car.
Once you lose yourself the times just start improving. I took off over second or two on the 2nd lap and set a personal best, while on the 3rd lap I was close to catching that.
Over to the track that I had a problem on the other day, Mugello. And I don't know if there was more rubber on the track or what but I had no problems, again improving on my personal best by lap 3. Then off to one last testing track. I started to worry I was pushing my luck. Laps one and two weren't that great but coming onto lap 3 I got back into my zone and took of a second off my personal best.
In one night three tracks I've improved my personal best on, this car is fabulous. I would recommend this car for everyone, though better drivers will get alot more out of this car, I've had a blast in it.
Thanks to EXI for letting us test out a car we were both looking forward to
running. Thanks to JustDirt for selling iNFERNO and myself one to do a test run on it.

Color-change base paint makes these all Limited Edition quality!
Part Two, FCF iNFERNO
Exhausted, I turned off the test equipment and started loading the truck. My ForzaTimes messenger lit up.
"Hey man, I hate to do this, but you know we have that Porsche to test... We got an advance copy to preview and they want to make a weekend release..." -Slacker
Heh. No rest for the weary. I unloaded the test equipment and sent a message for Slacker to meet me at the track.
Slacker told me he was fighting the car a little bit, so he looked surprised when I told him I had already set a personal best with the car. Having already tuned a test car for the series I campaign my M3 in, I was already familiar with the model. We talked for a minute about the handling of the car while the crew pulled the tire warmers off, and by the end of the conversation Slacker was more excited than me to take to the track.
Immediately I was amazed with this car. It took corners with fury, sliding into corners and smoking tires exiting. This is a car that likes to be driven aggressively. In a multiplayer race, you can push it without it getting out of shape. That said, it has very high levels of grip if driven smoothly.
The balance of grip and power make this a great driving car. Two tracks, three laps, two new personal bests. It wouldn't take me long to pick this Porsche in an S-Class non-leaderboard car race.
The paint is amazing, and is of limited-edition quality already. Everyone who likes their cars RWD should definitely pick this one up. Just be ready to have some fun.

A great shot of the silver shade of this replica!
