GEARBOX S Class RX-7 Spirit R

jfiler's wicked fast RX-7 Spirit R blasting down the straight at Road Atlanta.
jfiler and I go way back, near the start of my Forza career. We raced against one another in a RWD racing series that turned out to be very competitive.
During this series, jfiler and I discussed a prize car in which he wanted to supply the tune. Well, the series winner already had a tuned and painted version of the car we talked about, so it never came to fruition.
During the time we were developing the car, jfiler sent me a couple of tunes, which he called "base" tunes, from which we could tweak. Little did he know, his tune was faster than my series car on several tracks. That is when I realized jfiler had a knack for tuning, and I was understandably excited when he sent over his GEARBOX RX-7 Spirit R for me to test!
The paint is very subtle on this one, and is only offered in a two colors. One for S Class, and one for A Class. The blue shown here is the S Class model, which has a clean, classy look to it.
On the warm up lap, I began to worry I'd gotten in over my head. The car appeared to be understeering some, but seemed to steer great off-throttle. I started to pay closer attention to my inputs, and I realized it was accelerating so fast, the car was outrunning it's own line!!! I would have to be careful to make sure I wasn't overshooting my exits with this one.
This car completely smokes the competition on the straights, easily breaking 185 mph on the back straight at Atlanta. It is a top handler as well, with a 1:19.719 setting a new personal best for me on the full course.
I really like this tune. So much so that I have transferred it to my personal RX-7 in my garage, replacing the tune I've spent hours on. It definitely is that good. As soon as I get the time, I am going to run his AB Flug RX-7 and his Nurburgring VIS Integra. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see how they perform!
This car may still be available. Check the "for sale" thread if you're interested. This car is FAST!
