Polaris Amuse Power House Carbon R

Amuse Power House Carbon R

True "replica" cars are hard to produce in FM2. Limits are artificially set due to FM2's Performance Index system, which usually prohibits vehicles from being competitive in their class.

Case in point, we had a chance to drive the Polaris Amuse Power House Carbon R replica. The real Carbon R has 520 horsepower, and the replica we tested has 521. That puts the PI squarely at 953, which is too fast for S-Class, and disadvantaged versus S998.

Polaris Carbon R Skyline in motion.

Skylines are like every other AWD car in the game, in that they can either be tuned loose or with tons of grip at the discretion of the builder. This car seems to strike a nice balance of both. This GT-R has a very grippy feel to it, however, it can be made to oversteer with throttle application.

Neil has done a very good job with the tune. It blasted around Tsukuba with great corner entry and predictable exits. Unfortunately I was running against an S998 R32 ghost that just would not succumb to this R34. I could keep them together until the final straight, where the extra power that 45 PI allows became evident.

It did have a fair amount of push on corner exit, but that is contributed to my experience here with A-Class cars. In S-Class, you have to wait that split second before accelerating, and I fail to do that more often than not. When I kept my throttle under control, the car exited turns very predictably.

Beautiful Gloss-Carbon Finish.

Also worth talking about is Viperlite's paint. An excellent replica scheme has been done here, with all of the decals being individually produced. The all-carbon car has been done before, and I thought this would be more of the same. However, the design of this car with the painted parts is incredibly striking.

Overall, no compromises were made and the results are fantastic. A great replica that when treated as a "stock" in-game tuned car, performs better than T10's HKS Evolution which has a higher PI! This car really is a pleasure to have in the garage.

The only drawback for the replica is that it is quite a bit faster around Tsukuba. The Polaris car is easily less than 54 seconds versus 57 seconds for the actual car. I'd also imagine Neil's car is a fair amount easier to drive.

Beautifully done, well executed, and faster than the real thing. What more could you ask for?

Now that I think about it, Turn 10 should contact these guys and put this car officially into the game.

Our photographer couldn't stop taking shots of this outstanding replica.
